Ingredients
5 lb pork ribs
0.5 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 cup barbecue sauce
0.5 cup apple cider vinegar
Instructions
  1. 1
Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. 2
In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to create the rub.
  3. 3
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if necessary and pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
  4. 4
Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  5. 5
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up.
  6. 6
Cover the ribs tightly with another sheet of aluminum foil.
  7. 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours.
  8. 8
In a small saucepan, combine barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar over medium heat. Stir until warmed and mixed well.
  9. 9
After 2.5 hours, remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil.
  10. 10
Brush a generous amount of the barbecue sauce mixture over the ribs.
  11. 11
Return the ribs to the oven (uncovered) and bake for an additional 30 minutes, basting with more sauce halfway through.
  12. 12
Once done, remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
